Beautiful location minus the towering construction going on next door. Excursions picked you up right on the beach at the resort. Shopping with dining options within five minutes walk. Expensive, but worth it for the location.

The Sands was a fine hotel but they fell short in several areas. Staff was generally unfriendly- specifically restaurant, store and front desk. There was an ant problem outside the room each night and we did find a few ants in our room. Room layout is awesome! Location also helpful. We like a resort feel and felt The Sands did a poor job of making guests feel pampered. Was very difficult to get beach service and when we did it arrived in a paper takeout bag. Also, there are very few game activities for teens.

This property was really nice. We will definitely stay there again next year. Compared to Seven Stars this place has a sleep sofa in the one bedroom. Hemingway's restaurant never disappoints. Staff was on point and so friendly. Close to downtown no need for expensive taxi.

The resort has become very family friendly recently, and filled with young families. Not the quiet resort it used to be.

Our 2nd stay at this property and confirmed for us that this is our place. They have everything one would need. The staff is quite awesome- particularly Percy who determined that he would not be able to get parts for the washer/dryer- replace it with a new unit on a Saturday night! Every unit offers a screened in porch- very nice to sit and have a glass of wine in the evening. Salt Mills is a quick 10-15 minute walk for shopping. Looking to book for 2027!!

Perfect for families with small children. They have a small kids pool right next to the larger pool right by the beach making it easy to bounce back and forth. There is no breakfast included and the small shop closes at 5 pm making it difficult to get things like bottled water and supplies for the next morning if your arrival is late.

The location of the property is great. Beautiful beach and close to everything. The furnitures in the unit are in good condition and aesthetically pleasing. The building and the actual suite is dated tho and not very well maintained. Overall, the hotel rate is good considering the location of this resort but will likely not stay there again.

We spent 9 nights in the ocean view suite.Very beautiful garden veiw as well.We had a great time staying at The Sands Grace Bay.Our room.was modern, very clean and comfortable. Thanks to our wonderful housekeeper Dueila who made sure our space was freshened up each day.She even converted the twim beds in the room to a queen so my daughter and her partner could rest well. It would be nice to replace the washer and dryer units in the suite.They dated and rusting. Thanks to the bell attendants Oral,Samuel and AJ who assisted us with our luggage.They were warm and welcoming from the first day we got there.They were approachable,respectful and kind in sharing ideas of things to do and places to visit while on the island.Miss you guys tons. Big shout out to Anatalie housekeeping manager who immediately acknnowleged our concerns we had with linen on our pull out coach. Michelle and Diane from front desk were amazing. The only cons to this trip was the service at Hemmings way restaurant was below standard .The service was atrocious. The staff there was rude and unfriendly. We had to ask for menu's. Our server didn't check on us after ordering, she was so unprofessional. She had no enthusiasm in providing service. No entertainment on property which was boring. The sands is grest place to unwind relax on the beautiful turquoise beach.Lots to experience on the island.Lovely destination.

Turks and Caicos is an expensive island so there was good value in staying at The Sands. They are within walking distance to a small downtown area and to their sister hotel, The Palms. Food at Hemingway’s was good and the restaurant is conveniently located close to the pool and beach, however they have a tiny bar area and infrequent service to the beach area. There would be better use of space if they had a bar area on the deck closer to the beach. We had some issues with our lights not shutting off completely in our room and no water at times. There is massive construction going on next door to the hotel, with multiple high rises being built. They do start early in the morning and go until sunset so ask to stay closer to the beach if that would affect you. We heard there were shuttles to the sister properties but they were infrequent and didn’t show up when we expected them. Overall the staff was friendly and accommodating and the beach is beautiful. We would go back.

The hotel was wonderful and such beautiful grounds! The beach and pool was amazing. Our kids had the best time! The best hotel we have stayed at in Turks and Caicos so far!

Junior Suite Ocean view won't give you a direct ocean view. Your room will still be very far from the beach and you can see the ocean in the distance. Staff isn't friendly like other resorts and the food at Hemingways is just OK.

The grounds are well kept. The rooms have been updated and were clean. The staff were nice and very helpful setting up chairs on the beach. Its a great location. We walked to many restaurants from the hotel. I didnt give it 5 stars because housekeeping needs improvement. We stayed 7 nights. One night our room was not cleaned at all, no new towels. They only refilled the coffee twice so we had to go to the grocery store and buy coffee. They didnt take out the garbage a few times, leaving it overflowing. It was nothing that ruined our time. But worth taking note of. Construction noise wasnt bad and our room was beside it. There is Construction happening all over the island with more hotels/ condos, so dont let that deter you from staying here. I would stay here again.

Our 2nd stay at the Sands. We love the rooms and our favorite part about the Sands is the screened in porches. Those porches are honestly the only reason why we stay there. Hemingways the restaurant on site is great and the beach is gorgeous. The gym definitely needs improvements. Great hot tub and pools and the people that work there are very nice. We will be back!
