It’s a great place for the price! It’s in a quiet area, clean, and both the front desk staff as well as room service are polite and professional. It is essentially a dorm with a shared bathroom among the hallway, but superb for the price!
Room was good, just very small bathroom and uncomfortable shower that had green shower tip. The rest room seemed clean and warm. Staff was fine, we were glad they worked till 11 pm. They spoke both French and English which is a big thing for Quebec City. We had issues with the cards accessing the campus area as the front desk person didn’t set fully up and we almost spent Christmas Eve on the streets, but likely we got helped by students staying on campus ( huge thanks!). It’s a decent place to stay a night or two, we stayed four. Transportation around was decent and you could use the tunnels to reach to the bus stop, we just didn’t know how so walked. Safe area and quite around. It was only loud in the room at nights when someone talked loudly on the phone at 2 am. In general good for a short stay!
an excellent hosteling / university stay choice at a budget. the room was clean as was the shared bathrooms, quarters are from an earlier time for sure, but we got a room on the north side and was able to take advantage of the windows to keep the room cool.
we enjoyed the use of the pool table, and the pyramid was in walkable distance.
check-in was great, and parking wasn't an issue.
The location was perfect for a week of lecture at the University. The tunnel system permitted me to walk to my classes without going outside in the snow. Unfortunately, my room was next to a Shared Bathroom with a noisy door. The room was spacious and comfortable. Ideal for visiting students.

For a student residence, was ok. The sheets were clean and the room was acceptable.
Excellent service and commodities, free parking, free 3day bus ticket if stay at least 3 nights. With a 10 minute bus ride you are in the city center. Excellent huge shopping mall within a 5 minute car drive

It was very clean and localized a good area… it is however very hot during the summer, since rooms have no AC. Had a tough time sleeping
Bare bones place to spend the night in transit. There is a sink in the room and then the toilets and showers are communal. We stayed there on both ends of our trip and found that it makes a difference which building you are placed in. This stay was fine, but our other stay not so much. Pavillon Ernest-Lemieux was clean and adequate. There is a coin-operated coffee machine and vending machines in the common room. Note there is no air conditioning and it was quite hot the night we spent there.
The check in staff was great. The room was dingy, old metal cots in room, bed short-sheeted, the floor needed sweep mop, garbage on floor behind chair, there was a siren/fog horn nearby going off every 2 minutes, but I couldn't close the window- it was only source for fresh air. Too exhausted from long day travel to find another place to stay. It was much nicer than this last time I stayed here. Doubt I'll stay here again. Pity.
I was very happy with this budget travel option. It's great if you want a private room at hostel prices. The room was small but clean and comfortable and close to shared washrooms which were basic but clean. As it is on the university campus there is a jolly student atmosphere but it was very quiet. The only thing that woke me up briefly in the night (at dawn) were some crows cawing outside my window! There is a very frequent bus service that takes you right through to Vieux Quebec in 15-20 minutes, but I was glad I had bought tickets in advance so I didn't have to worry about change. The check-in was very friendly.
Definitely, the location and public transportation are fantastic and easier to access the old Quebec City. The building security is good with two passes to get into the room. The only thing I have is lack of noise protection because I am a light sleeper. No air conditioner or central cooling system installed in the residential building, you may need to consider it if you are lower heat tolerant. Overall I had a great experience in Quebec City.
For English speakers, you are fine without worrying Language barriers. Most of people speak English well. People are very friend.
First time, it won’t be last trip for sure.

Bedroom was way too hot with no air circulating. half of the toilets could not flush. However, everything else was clean and the campus is a really nice area.
The location is good to go to attractions since it has many 800 lines of buses passing by frequently. The environment is good and safe. People were friendly and helpful.
The room has a sink but no AC in the hot humid summer. Some woman said she bought her own fan, she wouldn’t want to stay one more night there.
Two female showers were in the restroom with three toilet bowls in each story, which were so hard to flush such that often not flushed. There was only one handle for the shower to operate. When it turned on, first shooting-out, from head to toe, was cold water, there was no room one could avoid it. Unless you knew how to get hot water, by keeping turning it anti-clockwise, the cold water would continue on, and one would have hard time to decide how much turn you had to do to get the right temperature, but not to scald yourself. It made me sick and had joint pains since then even though I was very cautious traveler and tried to learn in advance and minimize the damage. So this place is definitely not for the old people to stay or people hate cold showers and hot humid rooms.
