I ended up having a lovely morning with Audry (member of staff) who cycled with me (hotel bicycle) to a nearby archaeological site where we had a walk around. "We had a wonderful stay at Sierra Sacred Valley, it turned out to be the perfect choice to acclimatize to the high altitude. The staff couldn't have been friendlier, they were genuinely concerned about my altitude sickness (which wasn't that severe, but maybe I looked worse than I felt) and offered some remedies. "The wonderful Lida and her aunt Vilma own this lodging. They are both very sweet and contributed to the good vibe of the place. Lida speaks perfect English and can help you arrange a medicine ceremony with a local contact of hers if you wish. "This is a family ran lodge with plenty of character. Rudy and Claudia are very helpful and attentive The dogs, cat, llama and little rabbit are super friendly as well. Perfect place to kick back and relax, it is a little tough to get in and out of there so plan accordingly. The place is a little rough on the edges, but that is the exact appeal. "It was a beautiful place, lovely to relax in, service was excellent, love the gardeners, love the llamas (or alpacas - unclear), lovely jacuzzi. Could fit twelve people or six alpacas in the jacuzzi and still have room to do laps. Unfort we were incredibly incapable of temperature regulation (possibly our fault). The dome became a whole greenhouse during the day and outside was somehow too cold unless you were in the jacuzzi. Also the drinking water situation was a challenge - BYOW. "

"Beautiful boutique hotel with only 16 rooms that are spacious, elegant, quiet, safe and convenient. The staff is amazing and helped mewith anything and everything I needed including fixing my glasses I sat on and shopping for special foods I like. I felt deeply cared for. I now consider this my home in the Sacred Valley and hope to return someday. This is for sure THE only place to stay in my opinion."
