"Beautiful oceanfront property with lots of dining options in the surrounding area. The suites were very clean and the staff were all amazing. Huge shout out to Sam at reception for going out of her way to assist us. We had booked an extra room by mistake and cancellation on the day of was not possible. But Sam did everything she could to assist us so that we could enjoy our stay without stress. Thank you, Sam! We will definitely be booking again!"

Tranquility Bay Waterfront Inn

"We stayed 3 nights in May. The property is located directly on the ocean and you have access to a private dock with chairs to go sit and relax while watching wildlife. We did get the chance to see some orca whales in the distance and some sea lions. The property could be wonderful if it was well maintained. It shows it's age. Our room was clean, but the carpet was stained everywhere and was now grey and black in some areas instead of beige. The mattress, while comfortable, is sagging and shows it's age. We could hear the guests in the basement unit talk and move about. The location and views are 10/10, and with some love and maintenance, our stay could of been a 10/10"
Rockwater Secret Cove Resort

"We stayed at Rockwater Secret Cove Resort and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience from check-in onward. We reserved and paid for a queen suite with a jetted bathtub through Expedia, based on the photos and amenities listed online. However, when we arrived, the room we were initially provided was completely different from what we had booked. The room was not even numbered clearly, which added to the confusion, and at first we genuinely thought we had entered the wrong room. When we brought this up to the staff, they were not very cooperative and initially insisted that the room provided was the correct one. The room type, layout, and amenities did not match the online listing at all. After repeatedly explaining the issue, one staff member mentioned they would check whether room 22 was available — which appeared to be the actual room matching our reservation photos. We then waited around 10 minutes with no update and had to return to the front desk ourselves to follow up again. Eventually, they switched us to room 22, almost as though they were “doing us a favor,” despite that being the room type we had originally reserved and paid for. Even after the room change, the experience was still disappointing. There was no water service provided, the Wi-Fi was unreliable, and overall the customer service felt dismissive and unhelpful throughout the process."

"Nice simple useful accommodation. Had all the basics of what we needed given we spent limited amount of time. When we did everything worked as advertised. Fantastic spot to be at on Davis Bay beach."
Bathgate Resort and Marina

"The room was run down. There were bugs in the room when we arrived. There was a rip in the screen so you could open and close the window (done on purpose?)...so no surprise about the bugs getting in. There was no soap, no dishtowels, no washing cloth for doing the dishes. The positive was the bed was comfortable enough and it was clean. It had a nice view but we felt it was expensive for what we got."

"Was a little worried at the exterior pictures / reviews but we were pleasantly surprised to find a newly renovated room. Only negative was the twin beds…..very small for 4 average adults and queen beds would fit in the room. Smart tv was a bonus as we could use our own Netflix subscription."
Painted Boat Resort

"Our second visit and this time we brought our Australian friends for our stay. Immaculately clean unit. We had two minor issues which were immediately addressed by the staff. Very relaxing four days topped off by a delicious dinner at the resort’s Lagoon Restaurant."
