"A Comfortable and Spacious Room, but Some Maintenance Issues ⭐⭐⭐⭐
We stayed at Hilton San Francisco Union Square for the final night of our San Francisco vacation.
Despite the hotel’s impressive size and the long check-in line, the process was surprisingly efficient and well organized.
Our room was spacious, clean overall, and well equipped. The heating worked perfectly, and the in-room coffee-making facilities were a welcome convenience. We particularly appreciated the exceptionally comfortable lounge chair, which provided a wonderful place to relax after a long day exploring San Francisco.
However, there were some disappointing details that deserve attention.
The mattress was excessively soft and appeared worn out. More concerningly, both the bedsheets and duvet covers showed considerable signs of wear, including visible holes and deteriorating fabric. These are basic comfort and quality issues that should not be overlooked at a hotel of Hilton’s reputation.
Another noticeable drawback was the condition of the windows. They were extremely dirty, which significantly detracted from the enjoyment of the room and its view.
Despite these shortcomings, we appreciated the spacious accommodation, comfortable lounge chair, effective heating, and convenient amenities.
Overall, we had a pleasant stay, but better maintenance, replacement of worn bedding, and more thorough window cleaning would make a significant difference.
