The staff were outstanding. Friendly and attentive. The rooms were spacious and well maintained. Nice touch with some free drinks in the fridge. Large single glazed windows give a fantastic view of the thunderous river running through the town. I loved hearing the constant roar. Some may not. Breakfast was excellent. A fantastic hotel.

Lovely hotel on the outskirts of Ollantayambo. We stayed in a ‘bungalow’ which was on 2 floors. Kingsize bed with bathroom and seating area upstairs and double bedroom, bathroom and living area downstairs and very nicely furnished with good views over the countryside. There was a small kitchen area with a microwave but bizarrely no crockery or cutlery. Kettle and teabags supplied but no coffee(!)
Set in expansive gardens with alpacas wandering freely around.
Comfortable room but beware the train...

I was told beforehand that this hotel was all about the location, and not to expect the usual luxuries for the (considerable) cost, and I wasn't disappointed. Actually I felt the hotel was very good - yes the rooms were small, but it had a nice atmosphere, particularly after the park had closed and everyone else had returned to the village below. Food good and staff warm and friendly.
If you were keen to get into the park for sunrise, be sure to be at the gate 30 mins before it opens as the...

Hotel was good- room clean & tidy. No coffee or tea making facilities. Rooms spacious & with a nice view over the river. Our room was at the front, which meant we got the barking dogs all night long. Breakfast was buffet style & limited. Eggs cooked to order fried boiled or scrambled

Overall a relaxing stay in the laps of nature after visiting Machu Pichu.

Pretty new hotel that’s close to town, was perfect for my night in Aguas Calientes. Not far to walk to the bus to get up to Machu Picchu and breakfast offered nice and early in order to accommodate full on days

Highly recommend staying here. The staff were so welcoming and went out of their way to help us and give us local insights too. The hotel restaurant was excellent and we had a discount for staying there. Stayed two nights which was ideal for arriving the night before our visit to Machu Piccu and the next day we could enjoy Aguas Calientes too. The room was comfortable with lovely Peruvian touches. Our room did not face the street so we had no noise (buses and trains start very early in this...

Yes, there are holiday rentals close to the most popular sights in Santa Teresa, or you can select a more secluded option if you're looking for a relaxing stay. Our travellers say Santa Teresa has a good selection of restaurants. Make sure you have time to check out the hot springs and local tours during your trip.
What’s there to see and do in Santa Teresa?
Cocal Mayo Hot Springs and Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu are a couple of lovely local spots to get outside and enjoy nature. Urubamba River and Apurímac River are other places to visit while you're in town.
What’s a holiday rental in Santa Teresa like?
Holiday rentals are private properties where you can stay for a few weeks, or just a few days, in Santa Teresa. Holiday rentals offer extras such as hot tubs, fire pits and patios so you'll feel just like you're at home. If you're concerned about a clean environment, holiday rentals can offer a sense of privacy away from shared hotel lifts and lobbies packed with people while still allowing you to travel. You'll also find more space in a holiday rental than in a traditional hotel, which makes a holiday rental a popular option for family trips.
