Really enjoyed my stay here. Loved that there was a 711 below and many resturants nearby. Hostel is in a good location, staff were very kind and helpful. The pods were nice and spacious with good privacy.
Clean, quiet, well aired rooms. Good house rules, that meant people were respectful of other guests.
Nice, clean kitchen area. Ample, clean shower and toilet facilities.
Staff were always working hard, making sure everything was clean.
It’s room to sleep in. There’s nothing particularly special or exciting about the wink. Staff are happy to help the slight passive aggressive notes on the walls can be bit jarring. This is not what you would consider a “social” hostel either, very much a place to safely store bags and to sleep. It’s location is very useful too, not far from the hawkers centre, within walking distance of the Maria sands bay and most transport links.

Ok for the price
The accommodation was ok for one night. Room was a bit smelly, matress not very good and setvice decent. Would not stay longer. Yet, the are and location were great
Overall, our stay at Wink @ McCallum was decent, and the location was convenient. However, there are a few areas that could be improved.
The biggest issue was the bed. The mattress was already deeply worn and sagging, making it very uncomfortable to sleep on. As someone with hip problems, this caused me significant discomfort throughout my stay.
The stairways also became very crowded, especially when there were many guests. The shoe storage area was too small, resulting in shoes being scattered around and making the entrance feel cramped.
Another concern was the smell in the mornings. When leaving the hostel, there was an unpleasant odor in the common area, which affected the overall experience.
I hope these issues can be addressed, as improving the mattresses, expanding the shoe storage area, and resolving the odor problem would make the stay much more comfortable for future guests.
Overall be try nice experience, smooth check in. I decide to change a place because I encountered some terrible roommates, but it was not the hostel’s fault and the staff addressed it very efficiently. Overall recommend.
I’ve stayed in 4 hostels in Singapore, but here was the cleanest and comfortable.
Every staff were friendly and kindly. And close to the public transportation 2 lines SMRT, several bus stops that’s convenient.
If you go to Vivo city or Sentosa island, you can get there takes about 10 minutes or so by bus.
The weak point is it’s in level 3.
I’d like to stay there again ◎
Nice and friendly staff, clean and spacious beds/hubs. Central location just around the corner to Chinatown with 5-15min walking distance to 3 different metrolines. Quiet during nighttime. 7-eleven just down the stairs for night snacks. I Stayed for 4 nights and will absolutely stay here again next time I’m in Singapore. Mostly couples or solo-travelers in their upper twenties/thirties staying there during my visit (beginning of november).
Lovely and clean. Close to metro. Safe (female dorm). Key cards for front door and room. Locker in room that could fit a rucksack. 2nd floor up over a 24 hour 7 eleven convenience store with very friendly staff. Free breakfast (bread/toast, cereal, tea/coffee) from 7am. The only downside is that the common area is a breakfast bar so not very social.

Liked: Cleanliness
Disliked: Staff & service
Too little to offer for a price like that. The mattress was been worn a year or two to long, bathroom okay for a hostel to be. “Lounge” area as I was told was a long table underneath the window with some bar stools to sit on. They did offer breakfast which was nice, very simple but still a nice gesture. 3/5

Acceptable for a budget trip
The small capsule of the bed was really nice and the room was also quiet. The bathroom and the toilet are not the cleanest but acceptable.
