Fantastic location but very dated hotel. Its uniqueness is that it is 2 buildings across a pedestrian walkway with the main spa/pool facilities in one of the hotels. Staff not as friendly as experienced at other hotels.

Great location - right next to the castle. We loved soaking in the thermal pool and using the spa after a long day of travel. Was great to stay in centre and wander around the old town early morning before the rest of the tourists arrived en mass. We felt rejuvenated and relaxed following our stay.

Spent a very pleasant week here. We chose it because of its proximity to the ferry terminal, and it was perfect for this. The hotel was great and we do recommend it. I'd have given it full marks except for the sulphorous smell of the thermal spa which permeates the public areas of one of the two buildings making up the hotel. It's not a show stopper, but it's something to be aware of. Many positives though - the staff were nice, as was the room, and also the dining room. Sitting outside on the terrace in the evening sunshine with a drink, overlooking the lake, was lovely.

Fantastic location for shopping, dining and transport links. Very picturesque with helpful and friendly staff. Room comfortable and breakfast was fine. The sulphur smells from the pool were very unpleasant and on occasion permeated through the hotel but the pool area itself was nice if a bit overheated. Would be good to have tea/coffee facilities in the room.
