"We had an ADA accessible room and, when you stepped into the shower, water bubbled up from under the tile and it was not real clean. The sink had a crack all the way across. Breakfast was OK, but I really think a $30 per night parking fee was a bit much when there seemed to be plenty available in their lot. There was no one at the desk when we tried to check out about 8:30 and I waited for several minutes. Overall, overpriced all around, but so is most of Chicago."

"Staff was friendly, water pressure was good, and breakfast was pleasant. That said....the air conditioning in the room wasn't working properly. It was set for 65 when we got there. We bumped it up to 68. That said...the thermostat showed that it was actually 80 for most of the night. Did not sleep well as a result."

"Everything was excellent about our stay here. We got in about 2am and Joe was super helpful and gave us a whole bunch of information. There is public parking near the hotel about a 5 minute walk. Make sure to park there. It is secure and pretty cheap about 20 dollars a day. Establishment was super clean and loved everything about it. Will definitely stay there again"

"This was our first time in Chicago. My sister and I saw this Best Western as a convenient choice for the Pokemon GO! Fest of 2026. Wow, what a beautiful building! Very safe too. The lot is lit so brightly and is next to a small banquet hall so we weren’t scared about coming back to the room very late. The room was beautiful; comfy sheets, updated TV and nice amenities. The staff were so friendly to us upon check-in and held our bags both at check-in and check-out so we could go explore the city luggage-free. Free breakfast could use a little more variety but it was perfect to help us save on food costs. The parking lot is a bit small so do be aware when needing to park a vehicle here. We didn’t have to park so we didn’t need this option. Overall, we’d choose this Best Western again!!!"

"We showed up after a 15 hour drive with a sign saying that all third party bookings are invalid. We talked to the clerk and he said we didn’t have a reservation without even asking for our name. I explained that I talked to staff that morning asking for a ground floor room due to recent surgery. He gave us a key and asked for us to check it out. There was garbage still on tables, the bed had no sheets or pillows. The bathroom had no towels and the toilet paper was wet. Being 10 at night and tires from drive, also unfamiliar with Chicago we had to sleep there for the night. We left promptly at 7 the next morning and lost a nights stay there because of the conditions. Another couple was given the same choice. Their toilet was full of feces and no working ac unit. There is no way I would recommend this place to anyone. I have never had a more horrible experience in customer service, conditions than this visit"

"The renovated room was nice… better than expected based on prior reviews. This is a nice quiet place to stay in the Hyde Park neighborhood, close to Lake Michigan and also close to bus, Metra and the “L” stations to reach downtown as well as the south side & south suburbs."

"We had cockroaches in our room, it didn’t feel clean at all, very sketchy people walking around, no soap in room, tv channels didn’t work, we had no working lights on one side of the room, the room smelled TERRIBLE. I would and will never stay at a motel 6 again. They did not seem bothered by the cockroaches and said maintenance would look at it next time they are in."
