"This is a quirky and distinctive hotel, but definetly suffering from a sense of faded grandeur. The location and surrounding parks, woods and streams are all lovely, and though we didn't see any red squirrels, the pretty paths and rugged valley really give a sense of place. "A little gem, absolutely loved pur stay! The cottage feel to our twin room (no.4) was in keeping with the village and the feel of the pub. The staff (man and woman on the evening service) made our stay! Loved eveything about it and will definitely return x"
