"We had a lovely one night stay recently for a wedding we were attending in the rivercourt hotel, it was amazing value for money. The man dealing with us on check in was so so kind and chatty, we had arranged early check in prior to our stay and this was absolutely no problem which was great. "This house is cared for with so much love and compassion. Every detail is just lovely and they keep everything clean. The stainless steel kitchen is wonderful to cook in and accessible to every guest. Rooms and beds are comfortable! The manager is just darling:) She decorates the whole house beautifully with fresh flowers and is there for you, if you have any questions or requests. "

"This place was so cute. I only stayed for one night but I wish I had stayed longer. Very clean and cute. You could tell a lot of love and care had been put into the decor. Everything felt cozy and homey. They even had coffee and cookies available in the room. And they provided a little binder full of hiking spots, restaurants, and things to do nearby which was very helpful. If I ever come through this town again o will definitely stay at Madeline’s. "

"We stayed in the cabin in the back which was…. Absolutely adorable and as pictured. I would highly recommend to communicate with the host ahead of time, because while the contact phone number is listed at multiple points on the property, it can be difficult for a traveler without phone service. I was traveling from another country and had data only, I was fortunate to have a local person lend me their phone so I could check in that first evening. That is my only advice for anyone wanting to stay...

"Although I didn't ultimately stay at Hazelbrook, I would like to commend the manager, Graham, for his professionalism & resilience, in twice finding alternative accommodation when it proved not to be possible for me to stay there, then understanding when my own plans changed at the last moment. This was a most impressive example of excellent customer service in challenging circumstances."
