Although confusing, we were allowed to have our 2 dogs in the room for a fee of $20 per pet per night. Location is so what convenient, everything reachable by car in a short time."

"It's one of the few motels in downtown Carlsbad and very convenient to where I was working. However, the carpet is room was very stained and the air conditioner made a great deal of noise all night. The breakfast selections were very limited."

"Husband and I traveled to see our daughter graduate. We originally had a room reserved what we didn’t know then an hr away and that’s was to far for our visit! All of the hotels were booked except here! Just had to wait a lil so they can clean a room for us! Staff was friendly. Hotel room was clean nice bed very comfortable. Had a mini fridge and microwave. Also offered cable and WiFi! Great stay and if ever back ther might stay again!"

"First…..the picture of the office area IS NOT of the property. The outside appearance would get a 4. The room’s appearance would get a 4. Maintenance would get a 1! Missing smoke detector with 120volt wiring hanging down. Door knob was loose. Had problems getting the door opened and closed. One time took 2 minutes for me to get the door open. Life safety issue!!! Bath tub drainage was VERY slow. After taking a shower it took almost 4 minutes to drain. The night we stayed it rained....

"I reserved a room through expedia but when i went to check im was told i didnt have a reservation and was charged cash and told expedia would refund my reservarion fees didnt happen i payed twice for a dirty room not a pleasen stay at all"

"You can tell at some point someone put money into this place to renovate it but it doesn’t mean much if it’s not maintained. I’m not a big complainer but I feel like cleanliness should be the bare minimum. I had some kind of food sauce (Chinese maybe) all over my desk on arrival. When checking for bed bugs I could see what I’m hoping was food stains all over the mattress cover and there were very small dead bugs in the shower, some kind of Beatles or other small nuisance bugs, none appeared to...

"The state of the room and bathroom is horrible—hair, mold, yellowed towels, and a bad odor in the room suggesting it isn't being cleaned. It smells musty; they really need to either renovate the entire hotel or hire a better cleaning company."
