"Everything went fine over the weekend. We only had one small blip over breakfast. We booked for 2 adults and 2 kids - giving our kids age of 14 when we booked. When we went to breakfast, the breakfast staff said breakfast was only including kids, which is 12 years and under. We were always clear on the kid's ages so I'm not sure why they weren't included in the 'breakfast included' option. Very confusing. "We had a nice little stay, used the waterpark and pool for a couple of hours, had a bbq sausage sizzle, played on the flying fox and saw a koala. Staff were friendly enough. Cafe prices seemed a bit high. Parking was a bit tight if you have a medium to large car."

"The room looked clean when we first arrived, but then we noticed all the crumbs on the bedside table from the previous guests. Bed was very comfortable and having a bar with a restaurant downstairs was great. The location was very convenient and there was a few other shops around. We turned on the bathroom light/fan and a putrid smell came up from the drain. We showered in the dark from then on. There is no reception here, so you need to see the bar staff to check in. "Loved the space, and having a balcony was a lovely bonus. Overall, the apartment was comfortable; however, the cleanliness could have been better. There was quite a build-up of dust and debris under and around the beds, as well as underneath the couch. A more thorough clean in these areas would have made the stay much more comfortable. Car park was extremely tight but as expected in those type of buildings."

"Hotel was okay. I booked two rooms and had two lots of security deposit charged. Upon check out, one of them was released immediately but the other one is still sitting as pending after checking out 5 days ago. Hotel staff keeps saying it's released but obviously something has gone wrong and they can't be bother doing anything about it. Bank said they can't do anything either so all I can do is wait with my funds being held."

"Good value with breakfast included and welcome drink. Free parking and 10% of restaurant main meals. Had a great time and staff were very helpful. Would definitely recommend."

"We loved staying here at the Novotel Surfers Paradise. The only thing I can suggest is that while they are asking the visitors to be “green”, they only offer 1 peg hook and a towel rail suitable for only 1 towel. Having more hanging areas for wet towels and bathers would be the icing on the cake."
