"During my road-trip planning, I found the Old Carrabelle Hotel and was immediately intrigued by its old nostalgic charm. When I arrived, the hotel was easy to find and parking was right in front. It was a self check in process (so check your email upon arrival for instructions). It's an old bed and breakfast in so you are assigned a room and room key (I was in the Hemingway room). "Lovely accommodations however, they changed our key code after the first nights stay and then it wouldn’t work. We came in late and couldn’t get into our room. No one would answer the 1-800 number. If the restaurant staff had not still been cleaning the restaurant after 10:00pm I don’t know what we would have done. "I wish I could post pictures! This place was cold and dirty! I called the front desk begging them to cut off the air conditioner. I told them I had a bad back and more to the point my teeth were chattering because of being cold! NOTHING! THE PLACE IS IN NEED OF A GOOD CLEANING. BOTH OF US HAVE ISSUES WITH DUST, ALLERGIES! Between the extreme cold and dust, we missed one day of being able to go out. That was bad! On the home page... THE HOME PAGE WAS A BEAUTIFUL GAZEBO! WE PICKED THIS HOTEL...
