The room is like a cabin, with a beautiful beach and campfire space too. Wonderful value and an escape from the normal hotel room experience. Pet friendly and staff are very helpful.
The rooms had a cabin feel to them. They are pet friendly, which is a plus for me.

Liked: Staff & service
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Quite dated and no mini-refrigerator, but the staff was great and the location was convenient. It is not the Radisson, but the value was good and we would stay again.
This is a roadside north woods classic. Knotty pine galore. The room is small and had no frills (like a fridge or microwave), but it was comfortable for one night while on the road and reasonably priced.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
We were running late and in an area with no cell service. The owner held the room and happily facilitated a very late check in.

Old fashioned motel with its original ambience preserved, access to a private sand beach is a plus. Otherwise it’s pretty bare bones. There was no free breakfast as mentioned by another reviewer. Probably would stay again but be better prepared with sundries and an extension cord
I was approached by people that lived there asking me to use my phone right after I checked in. Staff was asking me where such people want and when they were coming back, which I thought was very odd. I didn’t stay the second night I paid for as I didn’t feel comfortable there. The beach on lake Huron was awesome
It feels like you've been offered a room in a family friend's home. The staff are like people you've known your whole life, and the whole experience is exactly the quiet, accepting, laid back yooper experience you should be looking for in upper Michigan.
A caveat: I wouldn't suggest this place to people who can't live without their fancy linens and pillow top mattress in the Hilton, it's much cozier than that, and it could make some people feel like they're not being taken care of the way they are used to, which is okay, people like what they like, you know? But overall, if you're looking for a quiet place to put your feet up and really feel welcome and appreciated, definitely check this place out!
Place is good for the price. Not right on the beach but a short walk away

This motel was closed and I had to look for another place to stay .Expedia needs to check the property before booking.I will not book with Expedia again
Nice little place with alot of old touches. Motel was nuilt on 1951 so we enjoyrd some of the rustic touches. We were there for a concert, so only slept there but it was worth the cost.

Closed for “remodeling” without notice or warning!!!$
DO NOT BOOK HERE!!! Went to check in everything went through online except payment. Could not check in when I arrived no one was there. We were lucky we were traveling through the wk and another hotel had a room available. Would of been a nightmare if it was a busy wkend and all hotels in area booked up. Pay the extra money get a good hotel. Even driving by this place was scary.
This Vintage motel was just the "old Michigan" experience we were hoping for. Knotty pine walls, a new shower stall and the deli next door for breakfast made our stay fun and relaxing.
Even though we had a reservation, the sign said they are closed for renovation. Couldn't be bothered to notify us.
