St. John's Castlerigg and Wythburn Holidays

"Stayed with my son overnight on our trip to climb Helwellyn. Did the climb prior to checking in, as check in was from 3pm. Asked in advance if we could use the car park upon our arrival in the morning & it was no problem. Once we checked in, the room was good with a modern ensuite, ironing board, hair-dryer and coffee facilities. All the staff were friendly with a nicely stocked bar and it was fine to book a table for our evening meal. The menu had a good choice of meat and vegetarian options....

There was a large fan provided, which was very welcome given the heatwave that was taking place that week, We ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent. A perfect place for an overnight in the Lakes."
