The hotel was under a major renovation as of Oct 2023. The rooms were dated, which is okay. The cleanliness of the room was acceptable. There wasn't much offered for the complimentary breakfast. I am sure this place will be a nice place to stay when finished. This hotel is a bargain compared to the surrounding area hotels.

Renovation

The hotel was under extreme renovation. There must have been a good hotel there at one time. There was a bug in the pool. The carpet was stained. Im sure once theyre finished with the renovation it will be a lot better. We asked for fresh towels and they forgot. The staff was friendly.

At first I thought it was closed and abandoned, no cars in the parking lot. Walked in the lobby looked under construction, but it was after 6pm so I carried on with my in door picnic plan for a romantic evening, … the room? It had a bed. The tv worked. But the pool and hot tub not working, everything was dirty. Not horrible dirty but not good , the hotel is completely run down and the pictures on line are fakes from either another website or another time. We left after eating the takeout I brought and watching the football game . Did not take our shoes off. But if you need a place to crash? It’s safe. And the bed was made . Better than living outside.

There is major construction being done at the property. We arrived shortly after midnight and was immediately greeted by the front desk manager. Younger gentleman, very polite. Quick and easy check in process. However, when I opened the door to my room and turned on the lights, no less than a dozen roaches scattered. There were larger full-size roaches as well as baby ones, so this appeared to be an ongoing issue and not just a one-off. They were in the tub, in the toilet, on the sink/counter and on the wall. Understandably, I did not go into the room any further. We returned to the front desk immediately and stated we could not stay due to the roach infestation. The gentleman apologized and said that I would receive my refund from Expedia. This did not happen automatically, but after speaking with Expedia who then contacted the hotel, the refund is in process. Hopefully once all of the construction is completed, exterminators will be brought in to clean up this issue.
