"Great hotel and facilities. Enjoyed the sauna, hot tub and pool"

"Avoid a room above the bar because of the noise. I think it must get its 3 star rating from the rooms in the new areas. The food was very mediocre. For food I would recommend The Fox Hole which is around a 5 minute walk. The setting saved my stay because it was lovely to sit by the river. The staff were very nice."

"Stayed for one night for work. The general hotel is nice as was the breakfast and the gym facilities. Staff were helpful at check in and out. The rooms are very dated and in desperate need of a refresh. I over looked the middle of the hotel so it was noisy at night. Has a lot of potential with a bit of a refresh."

"Had a two night stay in Room 1. Staff all friendly and helpful. WiFi was on the blink.so not available on our room. They said they needed to fix it. Room was spacious. Lovely bathroom but lighting in both room and bathroom could be brighter. Water hot but found controls on shower difficult to adjust. Tea making facilities all good but I brought my own herbal tea - only standard tea available. Small bottle of still and sparkling water provided."

"The room was tired and Amenities were poor. Staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. Reception welcome was far from a welcome. The bathroom was filthy with black mould marks and the Bathroom door was completely rotten. The walls were paper thin - I was kept awake until after midnight. I phoning reception 3 times to ask if the room next door could turn their television down which was blaring for hours. After the third phone call over 2 hours they eventually did at 10.30pm. "Motel in easy walking distance to town centre. The room was very hot, so had our windows open and seagulls were screaming from 2am The room was clean plenty of hot water. Bed too soft for our liking so didn’t sleep well. Our door didn’t seem to fit right so had to slam it shut and heard a few more being slammed."

"Loved the place, old building in a beautiful old town. It is what it is, if you want the Ritz then this isn't the place for you, but then there isn't a Ritz in Richmond. But it was fine for my wife and I, and I will definitely use again. Full English breakfast was great, along with cereal and toast and tea or coffee. Lovely"
