This was the second time we stayed in this lovely guest house. Pat, Mike and Nick are very friendly and hospitable. The location is great. We enjoyed walking along the walkway to Muizenberg or to the restaurants in Kalk Bay. The breakfast is also excellent, with a variety of fruit, cheeses and yoghurts, as well as a cooked breakfast to order. We would definitely stay there again.

This is a very special place, rare in actual fact. Everything about this hotel and it’s staff is exceptional. It’s a tranquil haven of the highest standard.
The location, decor, surroundings, immaculate gardens and food are all incredible, but such a place can not be this outstanding with the amazing staff. The hospitality is like no other. Personal, charismatic and caring.
We’ll be back in a heartbeat!

Really helpful staff, nice hotel, don’t get room 108 as it’s above the kitchen (noisy) ’ we did and moved to 103 the next day.
The B&B option is not worth it after a few days.
Good Castle lager.
The car park is security monitored but some of the ‘guards’ pester for money.
Three days are long enough at Simonstown, naval museum, submarine and Boulders Bay.

Truly one of the most special places in the world, no place like it. Incredible setting, delicious food and top attention to detail. Patrick and Lamla (spelling?) were terrific and looked after us like family, even driving out to buy me some zamaleks when the hotel didnt stock it. Rooms are spotless and attention to detail terrif. Chef's Warehouse restaurant is a must.
This was our second visit in a year and cannot wait to come back again. Very highly recommend it.

Room 61 at the hotel is particularly charming, situated over two floors, and with its own secluded rear garden. It has a very 'homely' feel to it.
One evening, as we left our room to dine in the hotel restaurant, the door security latch fell off (I know it's not supposed too...). We placed it to one side, and I was going to report this the following day. To my surprise, the security latch had been replaced by the time we returned later that evening. How's that for efficient service...

Amazing property with amazing staff. Can’t recommend enough. 8 mins walk into camps bay; yes it’s a hill but think of it as your steps for the day plus you get the views of the bay as you drop down. Breakfast really fab plus pool area lovely. 5 stars to all the staff there

A truly magical stay, really brilliant dinner and all drinks included which makes it better value for money. Lovely staff. Only downside is the rooms are tired and the whole pool and bathrooms need maintenance. Also a wider breakfast choice perhaps it is a bit limited. Thanks to Kim for looking after us perfectly.

I was delighted when I arrived at Ocean View House. Everything, from the drive in to the room and hotel facilities, was lovely and far exceeded my expectations. I was very sorry to be staying for only one night at the end of my 3 weeks in South Africa. The staff were very friendly and helpful and made me feel welcome and special as one of their guests. The room was enormous with a large bed and comfortable lounge area - and there was a 2nd room too! Breakfast and lunch very good quality and...

Very friendly check in at the hotel - gave us a full tour and showed us the key features in the room. Excellent club lounge with drinks and nibbles during happy hour. Comfortable and well maintained.

Brilliant hotel. The Airstreams on the roof are brilliant. Romantic, charming and just plain fun. We stayed in them for 4 nights and then tried a room downstairs for a 5th night and that was just lovely too. Great location, really central, really buzzing but the rooms are silent sanctuary whine you need to sleep. Close to everything, great staff, great rooftop bar, outstanding food in Thirty Atr both breakfast and dinner. Great service. 100% stay here if you like interesting stylish hotels. If...
