Nestled along the Columbia River Gorge, this charming town offers waterfront parks perfect for picnicking and watching windsurfers tackle the famous gorge winds. Hike to nearby Beacon Rock for panoramic views, or visit the Columbia Gorge Interpretive Centre Museum to learn about local Native American history.
This was just about the nicest place I've ever stayed! Not only were the cabins well kept and gorgeous, but so were the grounds. The owners were very friendly, kind and accommodating. Anything we needed, they had. I highly recommend this place!!!

We had a riverview room with a well equipped kitchenette and full sized fridge (which was quite noisy as was the air conditioning). The room was very clean, the bed comfortable and we appreciated the binoculars and bird guide in our room to make the most of the views through the trees to the river. The gardens were colourful and well tended. Although in a convenient location for exploring the Columbia River area, the lodge is a few miles outside the town centre, be aware that street parking...

We had a hottub room which was lovely (although a little hot 104 degrees, but you could reduce the heat but took a while) very private with nice views. Room large and comfy. Marked it a 4 instead of 5 as its the only place we stayed where there was no shampoo/conditioner or shower gel provided and only 1 toilet roll (always good to have a spare).

Staff were great. Helpful and friendly. Whoever looks after the small garden deserves a bit of praise.
Room tidy and clean.
Breakfast options good - waffles!
Close to downtown Troutdale.
Looks like it had its own security as well. Didn’t see anything of concern.

We very much enjoyed our stay, the only issue was the noise from the trains in the early morning, which is understandable with the close proximity to the rail line.

Good location, lovely views and walkable to town. Try and opt for water facing. The a/c was okay, not super strong, but overall a good stay and would return.
