"One of our rooms did not have a fully functional ac unit in summer. We alerted the staff and they were no help. This is unacceptable and the main basis of this poor review. Other aspects of the stay were ok."

"Overall it was an OK stay. Very traditional ryokan which makes it special. However staff speaks little English which makes communication difficult at times. Staff was unable to articulate amenities and had to use an AI chat bot to answer simple questions. Also some staff members seem very frustrated and rude at times. "The onsens are so relaxing and there are private ones too!"

"We had a wonderful stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. We booked one of the rooms with private onsen and half board. It was very spacious and clean, and a great view. The food was beautifully prepared and delicious. The public baths were large and and not too busy before dinner. There are complimentary drinks in the lobby at check-in and at breakfast, but also a kettle and tea bags and a mini-fridge in our room."
