Everyone I encountered here was so nice, welcoming and treated my family like we were their own family. The hotel was nice and peaceful, the only “negative” that’s not really a negative was the TV/Internet seemed a bit dated but if that’s the complaint, that sounds like a win to me. The staff specifically would be the reason I make it my business to visit every time I’m in the area.

We had a wonderful stay at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Tappahannock! From the moment we arrived, the front desk team greeted us with warm hospitality and was incredibly friendly and efficient during check-in. Our room was surprisingly huge, spotless, and very comfortable. While our schedule didn't allow us to use the amenities or enjoy the complimentary breakfast, everything looked great—including a well-equipped gym. Having breakfast included is a fantastic and convenient perk for any traveler. Overall, it was a smooth, hassle-free stay with top-tier service. We would definitely stay here again when in the area! The property was very clean and maintained. The staff was very nice and courteous. The reason for Good and not Excellent was the cupboard had the ironing board and iron inside but no hangers or rack to hang our clothes. There were four large round hooks placed high onto the wall over the the suitcase table. A short or disabled person would have to step up on top of the table to reach them.

Whatever you do don’t use Expedia to book. It’s horrible. The rooms are clean, but they’re very plain and there is no premium channels available. I was disappointed. The staff was very good and they were very helpful. They’re very nice.
