Cascades Lakefront Motel
Room was clean and had a nice courtyard patio. There is a walkway toward the lakefront where there is a trail for miles. The hotel management is super responsive and helpful. We stayed just one night and didn’t use the pool or hot tub

Chelmswood Motel Taupo

Cottage Mews Motel
Easy check-in. Clean. Oddly, all the bar soaps we used were broken, but not a big thing. I’d have preferred the upstairs hangers to be fully removable so I could dry out damp clothes easier, but that’s okay. Lastly, I found the carpet to spear clean but still feel gross. Accent on Taupo
Lovely to stay in a cottage with humbling history. Comfortable beds, spacious and good bath and bed linen. The sofa is stained so quite off putting to sit on, but we placed a blanket cover over to improve the appearance. Nice to have air conditioner too. Sad the Wi-Fi was so intermittent.
