Comfort Inn & Suites Grand Forks near Alerus Center
10/10 Excellent
"Love that this property is a no pet property. Didn’t have to worry about pet smell or pet hair in the room. Hotel has been updated and was very nice. Well lit parking lot and good location."
"I will rate our one night stay as excellent.
Parking was huge then from the foyer, lobby, hallways and room were very clean. The receptionist was nice, professional and the check in was smooth and fast. The splashers/pool was the highlight of our stay, Well maintained, lifeguards are everywhere, towels are well stocked, clean pool even it was packed with guests. I was not impressed with complimentary buffet breakfast and the food served, the resto was clean but dark to dim and boring but the staff were friendly and keep on cleaning and filling the food trays.
Again the overall stay was excellent and will definitely book again."
"Friendly staff, easy check in/out. Room clean and as pictured. Good location to campus and area. Only dislike was the clean, sanitizing smell in the hallways, overpowering. Better by elevators."
"Needed a quick overnight stay. There must’ve been something going on in town as the rooms disappeared quickly on hotels.com. Got the last room here. King bed. Checked in - gal wasn’t very helpful or talkative. I asked as I paid - is it too late to change to two queens? She said, oh. I already changed your room. We were out of Kings… good for us, but why not mention it sooner?
Got to our room. Was ok. Not super clean but not terrifying either. 3 entrances to our room. Front door, adjoining room door, door to the pool. No external window. It was weird. Pool noise did end at a good time, so that was night. Heater ran. HUMID air. Made me a bit scared to look in the unit.
Beds were comfortable but noisy if you moved/got off them wrong. They were metal bases. One cup coffee maker wasn’t clean enough to use. Looked like it needed a scrub.
Breakfast was ok. We ended up trying to find something else. Waffles, yogurt, eggs, sausage, potatoes. All just ok.
Overall - room worked for what we needed - a one night stay for a morning appointment."
