"Our experience was a good one . Bertie and his wife were very hospitable towards us both and made us welcome to there hotel. Breakfast was excellent they me poached eggs which was well boiled and spot on. The room looked adequate for the money that we paid for and was also clean . We didn't use the bar . If I'm heading to Southend on Sea again ,I would like return again ."

"Booked an apartment but due to maintenance problems we were upgraded to a hotel. Very comfortable, quiet and 30 seconds walk to station. "

I enjoyed being able to pop down into the pub for a bev or even a pizza. Quite walkable as well, I took a lovely morning stroll with a chai and croissant from down the way! "Only stayed the night for me and my son, Martin was very helpful and very chatty, a really nice chap , very pleasant room perfect for the price and needs we had , great location and will definetly return there for London visits as it's about a mile from station too"

"Bathroom had a very leaky shower. Fridge provided didn't work. Room was ok for a1 night layover for 5 people if you don't mind a very small room. "

"Saban and Belinda were great hosts. They were very accommodating and paused their laundry so i could do mine between the two different legs of my trip. I neeed to make sure i had enough clean laundry as i would not have access ta any laundry facilities for the next 12 days. The room was nice, and perfect for a solo traveller."
