"This was a property that was built in the 1840's. We loved the character and the charm of the place. The most recent owners do everything they can to continue the legacy that's going on 180 years old. Our first night there the restaurant was open and we had a good meal after traveling half way across the country. They are very dog friendly and close proximity to Cooperstown. The staff was very friendly."

"It was a real treat to stay at the Balsam Inn! The Inn is off the beaten path like I wanted and very very quite. Jenny is a warm welcoming host. She even upgraded my room just because it was available. The room itself was beautiful! It felt like I was a guest in someones Adirondack mountain home.
