The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. The property had recently been renovated, so the room was in excellent shape. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The location is great since it is so close to Ole Miss and since there are several restaurants and a convenience store close by.

The staff was very friendly. They put us in the same room every year, which is on the ground floor. This enables us to bring our bicycles in at night. I like the way that they are always accomodating.

This motel tucked in the middle of Pontoto, MS is absolutely first class. It’s obviously been remodeled otherwise it couldn't charge $75 on the weekends. Readers, this place is immaculate. My husband and I spend lots of time traveling and we've ended up in hotels this age just hoping it won't be too horrid. This place is as clean or cleaner than the 4 star hotels where we've stayed. The staff is very friendly. The grounds are impeccable. It looked scrubbed clean from the moment we rolled through the parking lot. If you're searching for a place to stay before going to an Ole Miss football game or Tupelo to visit Elvis, this little jewel is for you. My only tiny insight is that I believe your reviews would be even more outstanding if your place provided a little higher end soap and shampoo as well as providing conditioner to go with shampoo. That's it. This is a phenomenal place.

From the moment we rolled through the clean, well-kept parking lot and walkways of this little motel I knew we were going to be ok. The staff was friendly. The rooms were immaculate. There's clean in a motel of this age then there's the kind of pristine clean I saw. Every surface, every nook and cranny, the bathtub and bathroom sink, the floors were all spotless. There were nice extra touches like the group of shelves in bathtub area for towels and the guest's personal items when using bathtub. The bathtub, toilet floor and walls had been remodeled beautifully and were bright white with a lovely blue-green wall color. There's a small refrigerator and microwave and great lighting. Just bring your own shampoo and conditioner. I could go on and on but my point to this reciew is to emphasize that if you're searching for a nearby place to stay if you're going to an Ole Miss football game or just an excellent little place to lay your head for a night or two this is your place. My husband hunts in that area so I'll definitely be back. Bravo American Inn!

The room's were excellent and very clean. The staff are the definition of excellence, no attitude just an appetite to serve. I worked at this hotel 45 years ago and was nervous about the condition of the rooms, cause they were in bad shape back then, but the money invested in remodeling resulted in an excellent and comfortable stay. I've stayed in worse and paid twice as much, will definitely stay there again.

It was nothing special, and the cable and internet only worked intermittently, but it was clean, and I felt safe. It was graduation week for University of Mississippi, and the price was MUCH more reasonable than anything else around.
