"Double Tree is usually a pretty safe choice for a quiet good nights sleep! I dinged a star overall as the bed we had was pretty "broken" down. If you were sleeping on one side or the other, you can feel the "slope" down to the middle, regardless if you are a side sleeper or back sleeper. Usually would not bother me - but now have some back issues and a decent bed is worth it's weight especially when traveling. This is a first at a Double Tree for me. Won't keep me from coming back. Though...

"When we arrived and were assigned our room there was an unusual smell and we believed it was coming from the AC unit. We originally thought is was temporary but unfortunately after 30 minutes the smell was still quite overwhelming. We had taken our concerns to the front desk. They were genuinely concerned for us; profusely apologized and instantly assigned a new room to us. My family and I decided if we were going to return in the future to visit our relatives, this would be the hotel for us....

"This was a wonderful place to stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. They helped us find a restaurant and answered all our questions. The room was newly renovated and super clean. I felt safe on the property and many places were in walking distance."

"The wild goose and was beyond what I ever imagined it was such a nice quiet quaint place to take a nice break and just relax I got to enjoy it with my girlfriend for my birthday Al was amazing and as was the young gentleman that made my breakfast in the morning Paul maybe? I woke up at 6am from a random alarm on accident my fault. I'm terrible with names in the morning unfortunately but they were both so friendly and amazing and Yogi the dog was awesome. "Very clean room, super nice staff. The breakfast was top notch (try the lemon or churro flavored waffles, they were outstanding!) It’s a nice quiet hotel and I felt very comfortable there. When I visit my family in East Lansing, I will definitely be coming back to this hotel."

"The inside of the hotel was extremely run down. The drywall was chipped all over, on the first and second floor. The smell inside was awful, it smelled like people were there smoking. I had 2 toddlers with me and we left after being there for 3 hours. We booked due to a power outage at our home and preferred returning home in the July heat instead of staying there. "Excellent hotel all around. The lobby and rooms are in great condition - it's surprising that the building is about to undergo renovations in late 2026! The front desk and breakfast staff were great. Location is very quiet and convenient. I would definitely stay here again."
