"This property was in the perfect spot, right in the middle of everything. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Room 46 was such a cute room with a great view of all the boats coming in and out."
"Historic Building, beautiful hardwood flooring and decor. Feels like your staying at a friends house, instead pf a hotel. Staff is SO nice and helpful. They treated you like family. They offer you a free breakfast from scratch, no buffet and they have it ready for you at the time you designate. It's amazing! On top of that if you are an amenities person, they a free Happy Hour where they off free local beer on tap and local wines along with a charcuterie board your mom would be proud of. All for free! Not to mention, it's super safe and you can even leave your hotel room unlocked, if you so desired and you would still be fine. Your stuff would still be there, and not a single person would bother you. On the top of that, you are directly across from many shops and restaurants. This is the perfect location!! Please go there as I don't.I will be going back as soon as I can. This place is placed was phenomenal! 100 out of 10 stars."
"This property is in need of some repair and cleaning. There were holes in the baseboard in our bathroom and the vents were dirty. Also, some less than desirable, loud and rude individuals in the room next to us, yelling and screaming while slamming the door back and forth at 2am!! The location is also not the best area, a little run down and noisy."
"The home was very nice, even though some areas needed to be cleaned more often. We liked our room very much and it was comfortable and cozy. The location was great and near the beaches.
However, we were the only guests that night and we felt the innkeeper showed little interest in us and just didn't seem very friendly or welcoming, almost like she wished she didn't have to bother with us.
Breakfast, in particular, was disappointing. We didn't get the advertised "great coffee" from Saugatucck, but rather had to get our own coffee from the Kuerig coffeemaker and it was simply Meijers Breakfast blend. The actual breakfast seemed pretty skimpy compared to breakfasts we have experienced at other B & Bs. We were given 2 paper towels as napkins, and had to call her to get salt and pepper and jam for my wife's toast. Plus, the glass on the table was not clean.
Even though the house and location were nice, the service seemed mediocre at best."
