"The N1 is perfectly located right in the heart of the town and walking to bars, restaurants, cafes & souvenir shops only takes a few minutes. My standard room was very small and was even a tight fit just for me. Two people would struggle especially if they had large luggage items, There was no cupboard for clothes storage- just a peg coming out of the wall ,which was problematic during my 4 day stay. The air con worked well (the windows needed to be kept closed because of the baboons) and...

"Staff were excellent, cleaned the room well and were always nice. There is a lot of work that needs to be done with the property itself ie New Doors. The towels could do with replacing. The breakfast area isn't the best, but they could set outside as it's not been raining.Coffee wasn't the best. The breakfast could do with a few options being added. "

"Lovely clean and spacious room, but not possible to use the pool due to a big conference going on, and a very inconvenient breakfast setup. One option (buffet), one price ($30pp), so massively expensive for the quick bite we needed each day before early starts on tours. It would be $90 per breakfast for me and my 2 kids, even if we just wanted a quick juice and a pastry. We had to skip breakfast most days, which would be very difficult with a younger family. "Shoestrings has a laid back casual vibe. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The meals were well prepared and tasty. A walk with the lions was arranged by the hostel and went very smoothly. There was a football watch party and a sing along. Altogether a pleasant experince."

"Great position to walk into town. Polite and helpful staff. Overall clean but looking worn in places. Could do with replacing the bath towels and some maintenance on the two bathrooms we had use of. We didn’t eat on site so can’t comment on the quality of the food. A good place to stay if you are trying to keep to a smaller budget."
