The staff were friendly and attentive, nothing was tok much trouble. You could relax at the hotel, the honesty bar was great and the pool area was a nice place to chill out. Its also only a short walk into the city, alternatively there are buses running every 15 minutes. An added bonus is that the hotel is right by a hospital, so even the most accident prone people are catered for.

We visited for a triathlon so the area was very busy. There is a free car park available which was full at times. It was also exceptionally hot. The air conditioning was very effective. The rooms were clean and reasonably well equipped. There was very little storage. The bed was comfortable. It was a 15 minute walk to the supermarket and the old town. Amazing stay!

We found the hotel to be very well run with friendly and caring staff. Our room was large and well appointed. The breakfast buffet and other meals were excellent. The hotel is in a beautiful, tranquil rural setting but in easy reach of Figueres, Girona and the coast.

Beautiful location and very helpful staff.

Staff were great, breakfast was awesome, location was perfect, our sleep was quiet, beds comfy, and shower a lovely experience. Only thing is the parking garage has a very tight turn and scratches on your vehicle are highly likely if you're not EXTREMELY careful.

Excellent hotel, efficient staff were always available, room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. Only drawback is that it's quite a trek into the City centre and rail/bus station

we were able to check in at midday upon arrival from the airport, very efficient check in & a nice welcome. Our room was clean & cool, nicely appointed, enough space to move around in, huge bathroom with large walk in shower. A kettle in the room was very much appreciated,minibar was well stocked. Our room was 3rd floor, at rear, full length windows opened to a railing, overlooking the pool area. A hidden oasis off a bustling street. My wife and I had a perfect stay here for one night. We loved the decor and the building. A gem of a place.

Very helpful staff, luggage stored pre-check in helped, and after check-out, allowing more time to explore. Well situated for visiting the town. Hope to return.

A clean and tidy room in a quiet hotel just a few minutes' walk away from the very centre of the city. The staff were friendly and helpful without being intrusive. I'd recommend it very much.

El Porxo is a beautiful home/bed and breakfast in a quiet neighbourhood about 20 mins walk (5 mins bus or drive) outside the city centre. The neighbourhood has good restaurants and shops. Hosts are wonderfully welcoming and the breakfast is incredible.

Our 8th stay at this spa hotel. It gets better everytime we go. They have taken our previous comments on board and we now have coffee and yes in the room. Great. Can't beat it we are back there next month.
