What a find! The reviews said that some rooms were a bit tired and the food is good with generous portions. So I thought I’d take a chance. It was good value especially compared to accommodation in Spain, where I had just been. The room was excellent - one of the largest rooms that I’ve stayed in. Food really was superb - really well cooked and generous portions. I was able to park my motorbike in a locked compound which has also has a security camera. The spa had Turkish and Swedish saunas, a...

Wonderful people taking every care for visitors in a stunningly renovated old village home! What a pleasure. Will be back again with family!

What a find! I am almost reluctant to review this very special place but it's safe to say you will not regret booking on of the five bedrooms. Our was very large, with a separate sitting room and access to the cloister overlooking the lovely garden.

Clean room. Great staff and hotel was great.

No issue with parking and in a great location

I stayed in the hotel for a period of 3 weeks and had an extremely pleasant stay. The service was really good and personal, The room and bathroom very comfortable. it is well located, you can easily walk everywhere, it has a terrace that is very enjoyable for a late night drink. the jacuzzi is very nice after a long day. If you are passing by Chaves this is definetely the place to stay.

Great.

Excellent value, unfortunately we did not speak much of the language but the staff were great. Great for a nice stopover there are shops, cafes restaurants within 200 meters.

The quality and comfort of most Paradors is pretty consistent and this one certainly didn’t disappoint. Great location overlooking the pretty town and just a 10 minute gentle walk to the centre. The pool area is perfect for a lazy relaxing day and Paloma on reception always greeted you with a smile. Lovely stay thank you

Lovely clean spacious room with all the facilities we required. We did use the pool while at the hotel and thought it was excellent with plenty of sun loungers. We had breakfast at the hotel and the food was tasty and plenty of choice. We didn’t have an evening meal so can’t comment on main meals. Overall excellent value hotel and I would have no hesitation in booking again if I’m ever in Chaves.

Check in was easy staff really friendly. Our room was lovely with a beautiful view of the garden. Great parking. Stunning location and views. Definitely worth a visit loved the location and easy walk to the old Parador that is being restored.
