"We had a really lovely stay in the Douro Valley. Pedro at the front desk was beyond helpful. He booked us an amazing vineyard tour/tasting. Everyone was beyond helpful and friendly. The hotel is nice, clean and offers a very nice breakfast and onsite snacks. We were a little confused when we pulled into the property on where to park - the garage is under the property. The pool is beautiful and made for a nice place to sit and enjoy our morning coffee. "

"Absolutely loved our stay here. This was our honey moon and it couldn’t be better the suite was gorgeous with a balcony and the most stunning views. The staff speak English and Portuguese and were friendly and helpful and more than you could ask for, and the food was delicious, best selection of local produce you could ask for. "Absolutely stunning, historic property. Exceeds expectation. If you like Four Seasons, this far outshines. Property, accommodations, staff, and location are outstanding. We stayed in beautiful hotels in Portugal--this one is far/away the finest. Location is in the center of the historic, beautiful, charming village, which cannot be missed for meals, strolling, photos, etc. Highly recommend making the trip to the Arouca Geo Park for the Paiva Walkways and the suspension pedestrian bridge--experience of a lifetime!"
