"This room was perfect for what we needed. The suite was very spacious - it was nice to have the lounge area to relax in after a busy day. It was walkable to Waitangi Treaty Grounds as well as the main strip and beach, though there was a beach and cafe right there too if you wanted. We knew we would be out and about most days so didn’t upgrade to the beach view and that was fine for us - but if you plan to chill during the day and look out you probably want to upgrade. "Excellent. Very convenient. Room was spacious and well-equipped. Staff was very nice. We actually couldn't make it for the first night because of a change in plans so we tried to contact the hotel but couldn't get through. When we arrived the next day, we did not get any funny looks or stares. We just got the same nice, courteous service we would expect. Plus, the location cannot be beat. Right on the beach. You can literally see the ocean from here! And feel that nice sea breeze wafting through...

"I got very sick the evening before I checked out. The front desk gave me an extra hour in the room and I was able to rest in the pool area for 4 hours before I was due to leave for the airport. I had a tour booked that day but there was no way I could have done it. Having a place to stay put was immensely helpful. "
