"The sheets were dirty. The hotel smelled like smoke and it’s supposed to be non smoking. Someone pooped in the pool and the pool was still opened without it being cleaned so we swam in it. The breakfast was not great. Hard biscuits, salty gravy, no forks. The waffle was good. Wasn’t the greatest but it was a place to lay our head for one night."

"We loved the Essenhaus Inn! Only one suggestion….perhaps upgraded cotton linens and bedspread would have been nice. There were stains in the bathtub which I think was actually on the film covering. We appreciate the hard work that goes into operating an Inn and hope to visit again in the future. All the best, Nancy and Kent Meihofer"

"Clean place, just what we needed. "

"This used to be a favorite stop however they no longer have in room coffee makers. You have to wait until the breakfast area opens at 6am. Since my last stay they also discontinued bar soap in the room. Everything is liquid in dispensers mounted on the wall. The quality of the stay has been diminished and I will no longer consider the property in the future. Very disappointing compared to the way it used to be."

"The room was very clean, loved the fresh, clean smell of the linens! Staff was friendly & the grounds were well maintained. Parking was fine. I only had one issue, I had an extremely difficult time getting onto the bed! They are very high & an older person can’t quite maneuver like we use to! And I think the bathroom could use more than one grab bar. Maybe I should have requested a handicap room! Anyhow, over all, a very pleasant place to stay!"

"Room was just renovated and clean. They are undergoing construction but it did not impact anything. Breakfast was good! Brand new TV. Only concern was the hot water in the shower was not consistent and same for the air conditioner. We notified the front desk."
