"Unfortunately we discovered evidence of moth larvae under the bedside cabinets and curtains showing as threadbare carpet. Google AI confirmed larvae infestation. We saw a moth in the room which lead us to investigating. The Housekeeper assured us it was historical as are the cobwebs in the same area. We have discussed this with the Manager and he has given us a partial refund. We were offered a room change but the timing didn't work for us and the hotel was full. Our decision not to move is...

"We enjoyed our stay at The Upper House. It's a beautiful property set in large gardens. Breakfast was good and we dined at their restaurant on a couple of nights and the food was excellent. Very close to the World of Wedgwood and a short walk to Barlaston, where there are a couple of pubs. EV charging is available for a small fee."
