"The room was clean and the bed comfortable. However, we really didn't like the Pub and Grill - small, crowded and very noisy - the football being shown on every vertical surface was embellished with loud and annoying music. We decided to eat in our room - which had its own contribution to add. The only way to order was via an app - which didn't work. As there are no phones in the rooms ( and no phone number provided to reach reception), I had to stand in the hallway to use one of the few phones around and order food whilst fellow guests walked past. It's a good thing I'm not self conscious! The food itself was ok, though being lactose intolerant seriously restricted my choices ( good thing I'm not a vegan!). Otherwise, the staff were very nice and I have no complaints on that front. Can't comment on the pool facilities as we didn't use them (despite paying for them) but that was entirely our fault."

"It's really hard to rate this hotel as it's not really like any hotel I've stayed in. Locating it wasn't easy nor was working out how to find reception. When I finally found it, the lady checking me in was excellent but overstretched meaning a long wait. There were however a few very comfy lounges (yes at least 3 rooms) which if you were lucky enough to find the bar were nice albeit eccentric places to sit (unless you don't like deer heads and weird art) Finding the bar didn't mean anyone was there to get you a drink. Dinner was reasonably priced at £45 set menu except they charged extra for sides and I was not allowed to take my dessert back to my room. What a ridiculous rule. My room was in a second building that again had no signs so I just guessed where to go and greeted with tacky paper signs including the one for the broken lift. Nice big and comfy room but very dark and broken lock Stunning views and scenery especially if in shepherds huts. In short this hotel could be epic. Is a nice place to stay I just didn't enjoy staggering around with my bags trying to find help or even a drink let alone the toilets. And my last gripe. Breakfast doesn't start till 8:00 so I didn't get to try it. With lots of guests going to badminton you'd think they'd try and support them by starting earlier Except for the receptionist lady nothing about it suggested they cared about the guest experience."

"Room was dated, cold initially, heating controls broken, no electrical sockets near bed, bathroom door wouldn’t close, shower controls broken, peeling paint and wood on bathroom door. Broken glass in car park and police car patrols outside frequently suggesting crime hotspot. Appears to have fake 10/10 reviews with little description."

"Bed frame was very squeaky when sit on it. Front desk told me that its the same in the other remaining room which was true to my surprise. Room was muggy warm, needed to use a fan to cool down; window locked closed. Bathroom was missing a set of towels for 2nd person. Front desk was friendly trying to help. Buffet Breakfast was good though."

"It was a really cute stay for my birthday weekend The little touches from the pantry to the check in wine offered and the Madeline cakes hanging on the doors- and the room was so cute too. Little spa to use with an outdoor pool. Outdoor seating for a drink/ lunch at the brasserie. We had a pianist during dinner. Was a lovely stay"

"We were very disappointed with our stay and unfortunately will not be returning due to the service we received. While I was taking a short 15-minute break in the sauna, I left my toddler with my teenage daughter by the pool. My daughter was using her phone only to play a video for the toddler to keep her calm and distracted while waiting for me. A staff member told her not to use the phone, so she understood that photos were not allowed and put the phone away in the bag, facing only towards the toddler so she could continue watching the video. Despite this, she was approached again and told off, even though other adults around the swimming pool were openly using their phones without any issue. My daughter felt unfairly targeted and embarrassed. The staff were unsupportive, inconsistent, and lacked basic customer care. On top of this, the cleanliness standards were poor. The evening before, our toddler dropped fries under the table during dinner in the restaurant. The next morning at breakfast we were seated at the same table, and the fries from the previous night were still there. That says a lot about the level of cleaning and attention to hygiene."

"Well located hotel within walking distance from Salisbury Cathedral and the city centre.Comfortable room adequate for overnight stay. No parking space available on site so had to park in public car park. Would advise guests to remember to request a space"
