Check-in and check-out are both self-service and there is an assumption that you have Whatsapp on your phone as the check-in details are sent via this app, which we didn't have. Nevertheless, a staff member was available to assist us with our check-in.

It’s a completely virtual check-in process with no advance communication. Luckily the concierge at Sunrise Hotel was there and was able to call them for me and talk in Korean to get me checked in.
