Personnel at reception desk very helpful. Evening meals and breakfast service not up to 3 star standard. Service at room makeup each day lacking in replacements.

As a lower end hotel it was partly as expected but rooms were very small, cramped and there were hairs in the bathroom. We were not informed of check out time and as we left early our unpaid bar bill caused problems. The redeeming feature was actually the bar maid. She was helpful and friendly, while ...

Friendly and attentive staff, great breakfast and you can even fry your own eggs. Only thing is access to the upper floors either via a narrow spiral staircase or a rickety lift. I would absolutely stay again and loved the walk along the ramparts and some great beers in the restaurant next door
