Compare and book 2 Star hotels in El Tanque, La Fortuna

Beautiful property. Compact but has everything you need. Located a little outside of La Fortuna but has a litttle supermarket, Ann’s several cafe and restaurants within a 10 min walk. Within easy reach of Tabacon, Arenal and La Fortuna Waterfall via car or uber. Perk of the property is the jacuzzi.

The property location is not the same as listed. The property is located just outside the main town. The property facilities and staff were great. Information of breakfast times were not provided, which would have been nice. Breakfast was delicious when I did have it. Parking on the premises is good. Property checkout times stated were incorrect. Checkout time is actually 11am. Staff were very accommodating when I showed them the listing. Enjoyed my stay in a quiet neighborhood, can be daunting...

Booked the tree house as a special treat and it was wonderful. The Sloth House, which we had booked was a little close to the road, but we were offered a larger tree house with a hammock (my partner loves hammocks!) for the rest of our stay which was perfect. The whole area is teeming with wildlife and a couple of trails through the forest and down to the river. The service was friendly and breakast good. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we were even visited by a couple of toucans on our...

Beautiful setting in a very well equipped bungalow with great views when the cloud clears! Comfortable bed and decent kitchen with electric frying pan, electric saucepan and toaster which were more than adequate for cooking needs. Great to have the outside porch to enjoying the setting especially in the hanging chair. The weather wasn’t great when we were there but we did enjoy a lovely drive along the shore of the Arenal Lagoon and a great lunch at Tinajas restaurant overlooking the lake just...

Fantastic stay at here - the little villas are surrounded by nature and you'll see birds and agouti while hanging in the hammock! They do provide a natural wake-up call. The staff at the front desk are so helpful and responsive via whatsapp. I had a tour booked that needed confirmation and they called them for me and arranged pick-up. The rooms are spacious, good air conditioning and have huge bathrooms. Highly recommend!

The room was spacious, perfect for two people. The bathroom was also big and cormfortable with a hairdryer. You're surrounded by nature and can see many bords from the balcony while having breakfast from your room. My only two criticisms are, first that the pillows available are too thick, second is that the wifi didn't always work properly in the evening.

The rooms were large and great value. The whole hotel had a friendly and informal vibe which was very inviting. We loved being surrounded by the birds and animals. We spotted toucans, hummingbirds, frogs, toads, lizards (of assorted sizes!) more kinda of birds than I can name. The guy who walks around with a little flashlight in the evening spotting the wildlife and showing you is wonderful ⭐👍The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, as was everyone we met working at the hotel ♥️

With only 3 cabins set in beautiful trees overlooking Quesada and the Palma Valley, this place is magical. The hosts Luis and Marjorie run the fabulous La Hortensia restaurant with organically grown food from the farm. Wanted to leave no review so that we could keep this place a secret!

Everything great

This is a family run establishment, it is clean and pleasant with a good breakfast. We had noisy neighbours on the first night but the owners had a chat with them and they were quiet on the second night. Good value money.

Great location, downtown La fortuna. Easy access. Good service helpful staff and clean.

This is a unique property, with direct access to a river running along the property which is accessible to swim in, the views from the cabins are spectacular with mountain and natural jungle views with amazing bird and plants/flowers. Had howling monkeys directly in front of my cabin. Can't recommend this property enough, just awesome
