"The best about this place was the friendly staff. The hotel is well located close to restaurants and supermarkets and to a train station, so is really easy to move around. The bedrooms are small but recently renovated and clean. The fact that they have air conditioning was perfect during the heat wave."

"Overall it was good enough for what I needed it for. The room itself wasn’t the best looking place. The lights in the toilet was really dim so it was a struggle to see. There were holes in the wall and huge chunks dug out the plasterboard. Plug for the tv was stretched across the wall to the nearest socket, if it got caught on someone walking by or moving luggage then that tv would defo come off the wall. "I booked three of my engineers into Abbey Lodge Hotel for a one-night stay, and the conditions were appalling. There was no hot water, both the towels and the room smelt strongly of mould, and the shower was rusted and heavily covered in limescale.
The overall standard of cleanliness was completely unacceptable and raised serious hygiene concerns. I have genuinely seen homeless shelters maintained to a cleaner and safer standard. In my opinion, the property requires urgent inspection and should...

"Had to have maintenance attend the room for around an hour to fix the shower hose (cracked) the air con (wasn’t working) and the heated towel rail in the bathroom (wouldn’t turn off and was blazing hot on a 30 degree day). Room was ok in terms of cleanliness but I cleaned some marks off walls myself because it was off putting. Overall poor experience as I was late for the concert I was attending at the stadium, waiting for basic stuff to be fixed. Ruined the experience tbh."
