He was reachable over WhatsApp/LINE/Telegram/WeChat, and offered free pick up and drop off options at Izu Kōgen (伊豆高原) station and a few tourist spots. It is removed from easy access to activities in the area, other than the outdoor sculpture park, which is EXTREMELY worth a visit, but it was a beautiful location to spend a peaceful break in the midst of the big cities on our itinerary.
