"The hotel staff here were so helpful. They went over what not to miss in Florence which takes extra time, so we highly appreciated this. We discovered that our apartment was inside of an ancient coliseum. So much history! They greeted us with a cold drink and it was so refreshing on a very hot day. In the morning, they had coffees and pastries available which was unexpected. Thank you so much! A wonderful stay!"

"Very nice for the price, good breakfast not the typical US breakfast, this one is very good, excellent.
Even though the construction is a little bit old, the building is well maintained.
Room very clean, comfortable bed with clean and iron sheets, bathroom good, everything very nice, it has a good location but there is a construction going on right now, they are building the line that is going directly to the Florence airport, so very good for them."

"They gave us a room with a broken shower it was very frustrating. After a long night out we had to shower on our knees because the shower head wouldn’t work , only the spout for below the waist. - mind you it was a small square shower so it was very uncomfortable. They tried to fix it in the morning with no luck and told us we can switch rooms because there’s no more available but then throughout the day they managed to rig it up so that only the top worked. "Our family enjoyed our stay at Villa Castiglione very much. The room was very clean and the air conditioning worked extremely well. "If you don’t mind walking up the stairs to the fourth floor (I didn’t), it’s a really nice accommodation. The staff is very nice and helpful. The location is great, just 3 minutes from the square and Palazzo Pubblico. My room was nicely renovated and had a spacious and comfortable bathroom."
