"Perfect for our one night stop-over enroute to another venue. It's quite a big, old building with some quirky features but we had everything needed in our room which was well presented. Staff were personable. Breakfast was good. The hotel sits on a one-way road system. It's compact car park is to the rear of the property. If you miss the hotel car park sign on approach and pass the hotel on your left, follow the one-way clockwise, turning left just before the hotel. "

"Check-in was friendly and helpful and accommodating, the lobby area was spacious and open, my bedroom was large/spacious/clean. The bathroom was clean with an excellent shower and facilities. (NB: The hotel has recently acquired new owners and an extensive renovation has commenced and as a result not all areas are accessible/usable ...... YET!) There is no restaurant or room service available other than beverage facilities in the room. The grounds surrounding the hotel desperately need work...

"The check in was smooth.. id asked to check in earlier which was accommodated. I had a contact number for any problems or needing help. Earlie check in cost an extra £10. "Great little hotel above an English Pub. Was relatively quiet after the pub closed. Great central location, friendly staff, wonderful food. "We were on a 3 week tour of England researching our family roots and history. We were purposely looking for stays in smaller villages/towns. This fit the bill perfectly.
