"We arrived to the hotel and discovered that it was no open restaurant at the hotel. The information about the hotel said that there was a restaurant beside, but that one seems to be open only Thursday to Sunday. The village was almost dead and no restaurant was open. Lucky for us there was a store beside the hotel were we could by some bread, ham and beer for dinner. The owner was rude and thought that we should try to eat somewhere else outside of the village. That is not what you want to hear...

"Lovely property in a quaint little village setting, without the crowds. Our hotel was close to the train station, supermarket, Obertraun Beach and of course beautiful Lake Hallstatt. The staff were pleasant and helpful, and the breakfast was lovely. We were able to walk to Hallstatt, catch the bus and even caught a taxi back late at night. A wonderful stay."
