"We had a really lovely night here. We came up to stay for a sports competition. The staff were really friendly and welcoming, and made a special effort for us to have an early breakfast. The rooms were fine and clean. The rooms are basic but it's a good price for it. Beds were comfy. We ate in the restaurant, and the food and service was fabulous! Would happily stay again if I was in the area."

"The owners and the lady behind the bar were super friendly and very helpful. The bed was comfy, bedding smelt amazing!! Bathroom very clean. We went to see Peter Kay at the Sheffield utilta, was a 15 min taxi from the pub. Would highly recommend "

"Spent 8 nights in England. Poplars was my fave of the 5 places we stayed. That was due to staff. Though my train left before (free) breakfast, they left food for us the night before and provided fresh coffee in the morning. Meant a lot to us. Close to all points of interest but a bit of walk from train station. Cheap uber rides available. Great pick to be near Lincoln Castle."

"31 Castle Gate gave us a very clean and comfortable 2 night stay . Private and quiet accommodation clear instruction re parking facilities. Easy access to shops, cafe and relaxing meal/ drink in the evening sat by the canal. Initial access wasn't granted by the code given but a very quickly answered call gave us access for the stay. Thank you to Daniel - very helpful and he also checked in with us to make sure access was ok . Would use the accommodation again . "

"The accommodation was perfect, really spacious and clean. Great parking. Modern and fresh decor. Close to Clumber Park, which was the reason we stopped there. The only negative thing was that the shower was luke warm, I mentioned this to a neighboring visitor who said hers was the same. I was only there for 2 nights so coped but it wasn't pleasant as I felt cold in the shower. It has been capped at that temp so needs upping a bit to make a more pleasurable experience for guests. "Had a wonderful one night stay, lovely tranquil relaxing location. Dog friendly, even supplied dog treats, bowls and throws for the dog. Would highly recommend, planning to return in the summer for a few days."
