"The facilty is old & the room smelled of cigarettes, but everything else was wonderful. If looking for authentic Japanese experience (for the working and middle class Japanese) this is a very good experience. Dinner and breakfast buffet was really good. However there's little to do around the lake, unlike Yamashiro ir Yamanaka onsen area.

"立地は山中温泉総湯前でいいが、アパート3階にあり、大変分かりにくい。キーボックスをダイヤル番号を合わせて開けるので、いつでもチェックインできるのは便利。中はわりと広く、台所機能があって便利。シャンプーやボディーソープもあり、お風呂には気軽にでかけられる。施設として、ソファのスプリングが壊れて大変座りにくいこと、置いてあったIHに鍋をかけて湯を沸かすのに30分もかかったこと、鍋とフライパンはあっても、ヤカンはないし、フライ返しやおたま、菜箸となかったのは不満だった。"

"Even the hotel is a bit old, from the full set of facilities including massage chairs, we can see how grand the hotels had been.
Another good point is the superb scenery for the path along the river the hotel is located."
