"The room was on the second floor but was just about manageable for me with a back condition. The room was clean, a bit of updating would be good as it was quite dated. The room faced the main road and was busy with traffic and also very noisy with the amount of seagulls that gathered but that is normal in a seaside town. Tamsin the owner was lovely and very helpful and accommodating. The English breakfast was lovely and included in the price. I would stay there again but preferably choose a room...

"Arrived and the first room we had hadn’t been cleaned - they managed to find us another room but that one was also a bit dingy around the edges. It’s a basic hotel option, right by the white water course (Teeside). Breakfast at the restaurant next door was great. Appreciated the easy and free parking availability."

"We received a lovely warm welcome upon arrival before being shown to our very spacious and well appointed en-suite bedroom. The double aspect room was light & airy with views over the moor on one side & church yard on the other. The hospitality tray had a good selection of tea, coffee & water plus some delicious homemade sweet treats. Charlotte & Karen provided some really useful information on the area, local walks and eateries, all duly sampled during the course of our stay. Breakfast was...

"A wonderful stay with a beautiful room (well rooms as it had a seperate living and dining room) over the top of a Proper Pub, (wooden beams, walls covered in old brewery and pub stuff) music in the background but not so loud as to drown out conversation. Great selection of ales. Really couldn't fault it. Nice breakfast basket in the room, milk and OJ in the fridge. We were overlooking the beer garden but the noise wasn't excessive. Everyone we met from the bar staff to the lady who was cleaning...
