"We stayed here a couple of years ago because it was very close to my family and to the town. Then, the hotel was a standard budget hotel--nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable with a decent breakfast. This trip we found that the hotel was considerably run down. The lobby ceiling had peeling paint and bare wood patches, the towels were threadbare and frayed, the pillows were lump and depleted, and the carpet felt dirty. "Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms had heavily worn furniture and a piece of wall art that was falling out of its frame and only holding on by one corner, but the bedding was clean and mattress was comfortable. Continental breakfast included sandwiches from McDonald's and donuts from Walmart."

"Newly remodeled room was nice! Breakfast is always decent. The main light in my room would come back on after 10 minutes of being shut off. had to sleep with the lights on! Person at the desk the morning of my checkout was totally unconcerned about this and said I should have put a piece of paper over the sensor. Should I have fixed the sliding door frame when it came apart while opening onto the patio also? They are trying to upgrade the hotel. I guess good help is still hard to find. OK for one night."
