"Nice enough for a nights stay as we travelled through. However the food was very disappointing, it tastes like it came from the frozen section at Aldi down the road. Don't get me wrong, it was edible, but having lived in Germany previously, I always look forward to the food when I'm there, hence the disappointment. We had schnitzel and from the schnitzel itself to the sauces, bratkartoffel and even the side salad.. really bad. As you can see my review is largely related to food, the hotel...

"This hotel has been providing excellent service for 20 years that I know of. Its not fancy, its classy and understated. The restaurant downstairs has fantastic food and a comfortable classy ambiance. Beds are comfortable, bathroom is large, and the outside balcony off the room is a delight during good weather. I will stay here again when in Vechta horse shopping. "
